My recent paintings present barren landscapes in which only empty garments and memories traverse through the decorative pattern of nature. I enjoy the conversation which is provoked by the images in my foreground to the patterns that encompass it. I want a feeling of solitude to dance off my paintings and suck my viewer back into the canvas. The combination of modeling pieces of my subjects to letting gravity take control of my paint allows me to capture this energy. With in the drips of acrylic, I make introspective spaces that incorporate architecture and objects. The depth that I can create between the layers of paint is infinite. This leaves me craving to continue on my journey of creating my own atmospheres.
